I have an older Remington Model 7 with 3 holes in the receiver to mount a scope base
Rem M7
I would prefer not to use a Leupold 1-piece due to weight.
The rifle is already heavy for it's size.
I found EGW and Warne both nake picatinny rails that will work.
What other options are out there?
I'm thinking of mounting a 1.5-5 or 2-7 Leupold on it.
Thanks for your insight and ideas.

D&T the forth hole has been an option many have used.

I have an older model 7 also that I took to a gunsmith and had him add the 4th hole. Worked great.

Though ugly, Deadnutz is another alternative.

As suggested fourth hole it. Open all four holes to 8-40. Then go with talley lightweights.

I used a 1 piece Conetrol and their rings. I've always liked Conetrol.

yeah, that extra quarter ounce will be a backbreaker.

Remington 600s all came with 3 holes. I had a 4th hole drilled and tapped.

Weaver makes a one-piece base for the 3 hole model 7, the base number is 70 (48070).
I have used them before and they work just fine, it is probably the lightest mount you are going to find unless you go to a two-piece Weaver.

Weaver bases are often over looked since they are "old-fashioned" but they have worked for decades.

EGW makes both 3 hole and 4 hole pic rails for M7's.
