get some tags the ones with string to tie to and large enough to make notes on , other wise you will look at same parts over and over , then look at each and make notes ; bore size / maker of action / drilled&taped / bent bolt , so forth , Now look at items and decide or cull if its a keeper or not Next look at gun broker or other auction sights at completed sale for idea of market value of the let go pile or divided # in let go pile by original cost . the more you research the more $$ you can make or if times limited list at cheep and let go

Any commercial actions in there? Yes, I have a Model 770A EHM 30-06 says “Made in West Germany” complete barreled action. I also have an unmarked Mauser that has “Heym .284 1-25-95 WR” on barrel, not completed though. And also a Winchester Model 70 in 270 barreled action. I think the rest are all former military. If mine, I'd inventory, describe and picture each piece. Sounds like you may have some value there, no doubt well over what you paid at garage sale prices. DF

I have been working on Mausers for 55 years. I am a Mauser junk yard.
I am building a 1950 FN/Husqvarna Mauser for the 2020 hunt.

I'd be interested in pictures and prices for the whelen, the 338-06, and both. 257's

If you were trying to maximize profit, a high end custom maker may be interested in finishing those. Or perhaps an engraver or woodworker with a minor in gunsmithing.

I’d be interested in see pics of the Mauser 98 Mauser Modelo Argentina 1909 6mm Remington! No complete rifles, all are in different stages of work. I am trying to get good pictures to post, but can only do them as attachments and those basically suck.
