For my Mashburn I use 12grs Bullseye under a case full of tumbler media, typically corn cob type. Plug the neck with a bit of paper towel, and as others have stated, use pistol primers.

.338-06 I used Doc Howell's method, cream of wheat pistol powder toilet paper to hold it together. Worked fine.
