I bought one of these and it's going back. Barrel channel is severely warped and rubs the barrel on the right side. Tried it with 2 different rifles.

The MC3 is a polymer material rather than the fiberglass or carbon fiber/graphite of most custom stocks.

Is it still made by Mcmillan ? Or was it just remington using a Mc pattern?

So this is McM's economy line? Are they any good and, if so, what do they compare to from other manufacturers?

I can't say. I've not used one or handled one.

Clever attempt to counterfeit a McMillan. Looks like McMillan does claim this turd as to be their next generation.

GeoW,
FWIW, McMillan wanted to make a polymer stock in some of their more popular patterns that would be cheaper and available without a long wait, which are their two biggest complaints around here.
The Mc3 is the most legit polymer stock I've ever handled and heavy as a brick!
The A5 pattern that I handled was extremely heavy. 4-5 lbs estimate.
It may not be your cup of tea, but ya sure gotta appreciate McMillan stepping up and taking a swing at an alternative to a 6 month wait and $700+ price tag even if it hasn't been a homerun.
Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

There is a video I watched a while back where Gail explains his vision for this stock. Also, if I recall correctly there is a newer version out that is lighter. I haven’t tried them, but given the expense and wait (and weight!) of the standard McMillan, it might be something I would be willing to try in the future.
