You don't have much of a clue about wolves or grizzlies do you?

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department and Commission continue to focus on reducing the wolf population toward the bare minimum, Jonathan Proctor, of Defenders of Wildlife, said in a statement Wednesday. July 11, 2018.
“Wolves are an important component of Wyoming’s natural heritage, and should be managed toward achieving healthy and abundant populations across large landscapes so that they may perform their important natural role,” Proctor said.
Wolf hunting remains prohibited in Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks, the National Elk Refuge near Jackson and on the Wind River Indian Reservation.
...
Neighboring Montana and Idaho also have established wolf hunting seasons.

So do you understand there is no reason to make wolves a big game animal with open seasons outside the park since they all ready are, right?

Just put this old guy down as in favor of hunting seasons on all big game.
60 some years ago my Wisconsin deer tag allowed one black bear instead of a buck.
Made for a couple of interesting days with bear tracks in fresh snow.

Hunting wolves is actually pretty inefficient for keeping them in check. Setting up bait sites and ringing them with snares and traps works much more effectively.

While ID has a good supply of them, the numbers are very low compared to deer or elk. You dont just decide to run out and shoot one. I've seen plenty of tracks but have only seen wolves once and was driving at the time

I have seen two, neither was legal to shoot, both lit out immediately, both stopped to look back like a coyote will.

We can have 15 tags a year and would fill them if I could

As Stevelyn says. Fuggin them over with aircraft works well too. Drones, anyone? smile

I like wolves. To a point, which is well below maximum carring capacity, but not to the point of extinction. That's hard to achieve. They are the most prolific breeders of all large predators, world-wide...

Wolves are best used for entertainment, garments, and decoration, like this one.

Her pack had the dog and me surrounded, when she popped out on the trail ahead and invited the Lab out to play with her family.

Ooopsie!

I don't have a problem with that.
