Think Colorado River. Most of it is not in CA but 40 million people, mostly in CA, rely on it for power and water. If all that AMERICAN water and power are kept in the resulting AMERICA, CA would be in deep trouble.

Take away their payments and benefits. They will migrate. Again, we aren't going to kill them. We have to give up some territory. We are not "final solution" type people. Make it so hard on them they either leave or go to work.

This reactive and speculative talk about secession by those who want to keep their strongholds seems not to mean physical secession at all, but rather a much more pernicious secession based on increased in-your-face non-compliance with important laws and Constitutional premises - daring the Fed to take action. Those feckless zealots could not make a physical secession work for them - they simply do not have what it takes.
