It will be a battle between tomorrow's wind, and tomorrow night's snow in the area. It is going to be CLOSE.

I was surprised to see on InciWeb that they only had 295 people working the East Troublesome Fire as of yesterday evening. I suppose they were totally overwhelmed when the fire started its run. Truly unfortunate.

If you look at all the fires on inciweb it is easy to see why the resources are maxed out. The area this fire jumped into when it crossed the Continental Divide is almost indefensible aside from aerial attack. I hiked the Fern Lake trail less than 2 months ago and there is a staggering amount of fuel in that canyon and no way to get equipment in.

East Troublesome is now over 188,000 acres with only 4% containment. Cameron Peak is over 206,000 acres with 60% containment.
