Pflueger President Spinning Reel - Model PRESSP30X This, I like the 25 size. +1 We use both sizes of this reel and also like the Pflueger Purist, too. Very good reel for the money.

That is such a cool and nostalgic picture! When I was a boy that is what my Dad used for freshwater (he bought Penn for saltwater).

I bought a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000D and put it on a ML Fenwick Eagle rod for fishing trout in streams. Very light and smooth. List was $100 but I waited until the shop had one of its 20% off sales to buy.
