During my tenure at the Black Hole Institute of Whitetail Behavior, we attempted to get a grant for a double blind test to see if 270 WIN really would make a guy gay. The problem was that we could not get anyone to sit in a pop-up blind, wearing a blindfold. I have to say that it really made deer hunting nearly impossible. It also didn't help that the observing scientist had to be in there as well, also blindfolded. What really creeped guys out wasn't holding a 270 WIN deer rifle. It was being in the blind so close to another guy, also blindfolded. We tried putting in a female observer, but then things really got out of hand. The next thing you know we were dealing with a negligent discharge and the assistant wanting to file suit over a hostile work environment.
