This...
Especially for the Amish.
Some of em were in the background at one of his rallies.
That had to go thru a big consenus agreement among their communities in the region I bet.
Pretty big thing being seen nationwide on TV for them when ya think about it.
Definately a statement by them about how they feel about the nation in ways.

JMO....

Are the taxes they pay commensurate with the .gov programs they take advantage of? If not, it's like saying a ghetto rat should vote as far as I'm concerned.

You’d eliminate a bunch of white folks with that criteria.

You're making things racial rabbi. All I intuited was I don't like freeloaders voting. Regardless race, color, or creed.

An equal opportunity Goy.

I agree but intuiting or not, comparing Amish to ghetto rats is way off base even for a Goy.

Dunno...
They got alot of exemptions based on religous stuff.
Kinda like churches get I imagine.
They probably get tax incentives and subsidies programs like regular farmers or ranchers can get also if they apply.

I just think it took alot of behind the scenes consenus in their communities in that region for them to be on national tv at a trump rally.
They knew if they showed up and were seen they would be screened right to center stage.
And wanted to be seen.
To tell the nation in their way.
"Schitt is bad and we see it too"....

Bidens planned Tax rate hikes and Liberal Socialist Democrat anti religion stances are probably pretty alarming to em.
They know what is going on in the nation, with all the turmoil.

The Amish are no doubt worried about Biden raising electric rates.

You don't buy voting rights. "commensurate" has nothing to do with it. Bezos does not get to vote more than you just because he pays more anymore than an unemployed person gets to vote less than you.

I believe you imagine yourself more important then you are.

That's true. But people who are a net loss to the nation should not be voting at all.

Well, maybe the sex thing, they sure do seem to spit our kids pretty regular

Just being fruitful, they need kids to help out on the farm after all.

Neighbor used to sub out Deck building to those in the area.
They do some fine wood work,
And their price to work quality is hard to beat.
They don't offend the customer either.

I have no issue with them.
If they get some tax breaks they are also not a burden on society.
It's not like they demand sidewalks, highways, electric lines, water pipes etc..

The ones I know don't participate in government.
They don't get the handouts, they avoid a lot of the regulations.

Seeing Amish participate in the election is amazing. As said, it's a response to
Covid bans on religion. And every other Democrat policy that confuses wrong for right.

Catholics are amusing.
Again with the Dems policy, they were suspiciously quiet on this election.
Then a Catholic got nominated for SCOTUS, and the left attacked her religion.

Suddenly, there is all this support for Trump.

I will only speak about the Amish communities I have 40 years of direct experience with, and the Amish i know personally, whose homes I've been in and who have been in my homes. The ones I've done business with and had work done by and the ones I've done work for. The ones who've given me the use of a team when needed and have taken care of my horses, chickens and property when I've been gone for a while and have taught my kids to handle and drive a team and whose property I've always been welcome to hunt:

They work six days a week. They pay property taxes. The don't go to grievance day to try to get their property taxes reduced. The bulk of their property taxes go to fund public schools they don't send their kids to. They build and support their own schools. They don't take government money or assistance in any way, shape or form. They don't vote or register to vote or support any political candidates.

I have, on occasion, heard all kinds of uninformed BS about them as gospel, mostly by people who've never had any direct contact with them, who fear anyone a little different than they, and who spend their afternoons or evenings hanging over a bar with a bunch of other lifelong losers, sucking Coors lite and seeing who can outdo each other with tales of how bad and what a threat to society the Amish are.

what do you mean about the Amish being fleecers?
