I just saw video of a Biden rally so I believe the answer is yes'.

Couldn't be arsed to watch the videos, but do fairly regularly look at the covid death stats for Sweden on Worldometer.
Last I looked, and it was over a week ago, the 7 day moving average deaths per day had dropped to 0. And had been at 2, then to 1 going back about two months.
So yeah, re: C-19, Sweden got it right. Covid is for all intents and purposes, over for them. A few cases here and there, but no potential for a second or third wave...

Superspreaders my ass. We hardly have any people gathering anyplace here in North Dakota and we are having a major breakout. It just took a little longer to get here is all. It’s gonna run it’s course no matter what until a vaccine is available. Edk

Apart from the aged care error, Sweden got it right. No doubt.

The insanity around these parts has been rather humorous all these months. I go into town on a daily basis fully expecting to throat punch some mask nazi, I haven't yet , but have come close. It is disturbing the amount of hardship people are willing to endure to oust the 45th POTUS. Absolutely mind boggling. This whole thing would have just run it's course were anyone else in office but, DJT!

[quote=hatari] Their approach has not been any better or worse than the lockdown model.
I disagree. If you account for their primitive Muslim population living in a way that doesn't emulate their Sweedish neighbors, the rates would be much lower. As for as homes, their mistakes mirror one made here.
But disease rates arent to only metric in the formula to rank responses.
There is also quality of life. They didn't change much. There is money/business health. They did much less harm to their businesses.
You also have to consider how this affected health care.
I just learned of a local guy who knelt on a rusty nail. He started to get sick that day, called the doc who refused to see him until he got a negative covid test. By the time the test came back, he had sepsis. Dead just a couple month after retirement. Killed BY our covid response.
It's my understanding that throughout this thing, Sweden's medical industry has run basically normally. Every gall bladder, dental issue, eye exam, or dermatologist issue, has been addressed as needed.
Unlike ours.
To recap, they have had results well within the range of ours, without collateral medical damage, business damage, mental health issues, or as much damage to their economy.
Their approach has been significantly better than ours.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Germany has just instituted another lockdown with travel restrictions. Just saying.

They rank the 17th highest death rate per million people.
Which is behind countries who locked down, wore masks etc. ALSO - numbers are skewed because very early on the virus got into their nursing homes in Stockholm and was serious. Once that was contained, their numbers are in line or better than the neighbors. If you watch both videos, you will see that they are doing somewhat better than some neighboring countries right now, and somewhat worse than a few others. Simple conclusion is that their way has at the very least been no worse. It's my understanding that Sweden is not having a second wave unless cases have recently started to go up. A month or two ago it was reported that almost no new infections were coming into medical facilities for treatment. I'll be interested to see how the Swedes fare compared to their neighbors during the winter. I fully expect their new cases and deaths from Covid to be much much lower than the rest of Europe during the winter and for neighboring countries to surpass Swedens death rate per 100K. Herd Immunity works. It is how we get through each flu season.

Sweden is experiencing a second wave at the moment, higher number of cases than the first. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/sweden/Interestingly enough, the number of deaths remains very low and does not appear to be increasing.

Sweden 5934 Deaths
Denmark 716 Deaths
Norway 280 Deaths
Finland 354 Deaths
I would say Sweden did not get it right. The other 3 got it right.

Sweden ranks 95th in new cases. Denmark is 36th. Stats are fun.
Broncos are officially the worst team in the nation this year.

Sweden got it right on Covid. That said my lefty Covid fearing neighbors have been so well gaslighted by the media, that they say Sweden is lying about their Covid cases and deaths. I think they have become Covid zombies.

But you also have to factor in the negative externalities of locking-down.

I concede.
Defeated by the Ursula counter-argument.... What a way to go. Ursula is Swiss...she knew nothing of the camps.... But here's to Ann...
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

I,m just saying I would rather live in Norway, Denmark, or Finland. Lot less chance of dying From COVID-19, than Sweden.
About 4 times more bigger chance of dying from COVID-19 in Sweden than it the other countries.
