That's it. No rocket science.

Just how do you think the face angle is consistently controlled with irons and iron shafts? Mix that bag up with various flexes which do not fit a player's swing and watch the results.

Why would you mix up the shafts in a set of irons?

False argument.

Real argument. I see it every day in player's bags. Unmatched iron sets, wrong driver and fairway strengths/flexes to match and wedges that are much stiffer than the irons. Most of these golfers don't even know how they differ.

A fitting session with a pro can help straighten out a lot of sins.

I'll tell you what's fugkin' depressing.

I watched and interview with Michael Jordan and he said he plays 36 holes of golf every day And his handicap is a four.

LOL

It’s just like any other sport. You can play basketball 24 hours a day for a hundred years and you won’t be Michael Jordan. Make no mistake, the best golfers have a talent for it over and above mere hard work.

So some people are inherently good at golf?

Nobody is inherently good at it, but some people have talent.

So can a custom fitted SxS.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to kill a lot of birds with an off the shelf 870.

That's my approach on most things. Not just golf.

Yep.
Just like some can throw darts or shoot pool.
But there is a peak of performance, and it never stays at peak forever.
If health holds out, golf can be a lifetime of enjoyment.

Like natural athleticism?

You have to admit just getting by with what's available most often limits potential.

It helps, but it isn’t the end all and be all.

Launch monitors are a marketing tool aimed at recreational players. For the sub 5hcp group that is trying to eek out every bit they can get, sure.

Get on grass, out in the wind where you play and ball flight will tell your everything you need to know.

Yes.

If you're plateauing it may be time to take the next step.

But if you go through a box of shells and ain't hit a bird, that gun is not your problem.

Here is the real solid truth Deflave:

New players strive to lower their handicap.

Experienced players strive to raise their handicap.

Handicaps aren't for bragging, they are for competition.

I've golfed twice. Once I was sober and once I was.........not.

I wasn't a fan, though I can see the strategy having similarities to shooting, for sure. I am also way more of a hunter than a shooter, so there's that.

Launch monitors are the reason that there are more than 115 players on the PGA averaging more than 300 yards.

My only real goal is to make the person I'm golfing with feel bad.

No doubt they’re heavily marketed, but there is a point in your game where they become beneficial.
