I DO consider sycamore a friend, his real life persona is 180degrees different that percieved in general on here.

as to mine, they came to arizona laying track for the santa fe in the 1800's. then ranching, and other occupations.

Az didn’t love McCain as much as you say. I remember 2010 he had to go reinvent himself as true conservative a tea party candidate gave him a run for his money. Because McCain said he was as conservative as they get and not a rino. Also don’t forget Biden never served and had the same amount of deferments as DJT. Far as veterans, McCain never saw a war he didn’t like.. John McCain was a sellout and old bitter man because he lost the presidency and outside trump won.. McCain re- invented himself 2 or 3 times to stay in office, after the Keating 5 stuff (everybody loved Keating too, until he got caught) McCain came out hard for 1) The Grand Canyon and 2) Native Americans, esp Navajos. He dropped that when he "became" a tea-party" republican.

Part was how he treated McCain and part was how many Mexicans got registered when they turned 18, because Arpaio and Trump hammering on their parents.

At the end, when McCain was an old man, and everybody knew he was dying, they all forgave him (in Arizona) and felt like they knew him. (he had been in congress and Senate for a long time by then.) Having a jerk from New York pound on him did not sit well with lots of Republicans. McCain was a shmoozer and knew a lot of people in Arizona.
