It's never a good idea to bring politics to the family holiday, at the table is worse.
We just agree not to talk politics as we have folks on all sides.
Some families are not so inbred as to eliminate common sense and good manners. And civil discourse.
YMMV

American Communists don't possess common sense. The fact that you've yet to wrap your main around such a flagrantly obvious fact indicates that you haven't been particularly blessed with common sense either.
Ignorance in itself is not a crime. Do you imagine you could sway people who are just ignorant by ejecting them from the holiday dinner table?
I'm not a Christian, but I do adhere to many Christian values. Jesus ate with the Publicans and sinners, according to the New Testament. He sat down and had a meal with people who were generally reviled and who were in personal opposition to everything he represented. Good example, if you ask me.
I agree that hating the ideology that has slowly and surely conquered and dismantled America is the right thing to do, and if it comes to it, blood should be shed to seek to restore the Promise of the Republic, but it isn't time for blood yet.
