It is chess. They would like to wait until after 2022 election, because they suspect it will cost them more than it will help them. But then they might not be able to after the 2022 election.
I posted the guns part of the dem platform on Facebook. People asked me if I really thought they would have the political power or be willing spend the political capital? I told them stated intent meant more to me than ability or resolve. Damn stupid questions.

Usually not a first year issue.. usually 2nd or 3rd yr issue.. to fire up that fringe part of the party or some cases fire up the base.
And by then, assuming Biden won, we will have solid control of both Houses. It's looking like Trump isn't going to let Biden, the Deep State, and the MSM get away with the theft of the election.
Beto will be appointed to Biden's cabinet and will be tasked with our disarmament.
They'll begin their war on guns almost immediately, firstly with any many executive orders as his handlers think Biden can push through, and then with bill after bill... after bill coming from the house.
In addition, they'll also be attaching firearms related 'riders' on damn near every piece of legislation that comes through congress. They will rely upon the few senate members who are RINOS to push them over the edge.
The legislation will initially target semi automatic weapons and high capacity magazines.
Democrats tell you their worst intentions; they're not particularly be shy about it. All you have to do is listen.

In New Yorkistan they pushed registration, very few complied. They didnt go kicking in doors . They set up tip lines and rewarded people for turning others in. Divorces, domestic calls were prime opportunity for the police to confiscate guns and imprison owners. They dont do it all at once they wait until one day you are at the range and have a 15 rd mag instead of a ten and they have probable cause. Then they change the laws and a 20 round magazine is a more violent felony than raping a child. Oh yeah the child rapist gets a appearance ticket and you for owning something you bought legally can not even be bailed out to get representation.

I don't necessarily agree that it's going to be a conservative white supremacist, just about every one of their pre-programmed active shooters have been left wing nut jobs.
The media always tries to spin them as conservatives but after a day or two of archiving their social media pages, it usually comes abundantly clear that they are anything but conservative.

Covid is going to have a massive effect on the long term economy and my guess is civil unrest isn't even close to Done! When black thugs continue to get killed on Bidens watch the crowd of thugs will inevitably turn on innocent people to make a statement along with Fake News just like they already did with CNN when CNN headquarters was burned to the ground. My guess is in heated frustration certain factions of these thugs will also turn on Polititions as has been demonstrated on a small level with a March on various mayors. When they declare it a nation wide emergency is when they are coming for our guns! My guess is far sooner than later
