I am unable to find 4350 powder for my 7x57 Mauser, which is all I have used for many years.
I am looking for a few suggestions on any popular alternatives for 4350 that I can try searching for.
Thanks. Much appreciated. ,

Any of the above will work. R-19 is my favorite for 140-150 grain bullets.

I'll second RL19 with 140s & 150s. My old can of IMR4350 is finally gone & the new jug is very different from the older powder speed & accuracy-wise. It's like starting all over again. H or Shooters World may still work well.

Another vote for RL19, and especially in the 150-160gr. class of bullets. The oft-ignored W760 is good too. If you're into pushing max loads and using magnum primers with a ball powder like W760, I would just advise working-up a load in the heat of the summer to make sure it will be safe to shoot during the cooler months - not the other way around. With seasonal temperature swings from the 50 and 60's to well over 100 degrees, maybe that's something only us desert dwellers need to worry about.?.?

I know it has been recently discontinued, but IMR 4320 works very well. If you have any or see any on store shelves snatch it up. Ken Waters liked it too!

I've had some very good results with Re17 and the 150 gr. Nosler partition. Winchester brass and WLR primers used in all loads. Groups were three shot groups.

47.0 gr./2710 FPS ES 26 FPS One inch group.

47.5 gr./2751 FPS ES 19 FPS One inch group.

48.0 gr./2813 FPS ES 30 FPS One inch group with two about 1/8" apart.

48.5gr./2847 FPS ES39 FPS .75" group with two almost one hole.

These were carefully worked up in a Winchester M70 Featherweight, 22" barrel. Average temperature that day during testing about 90 to 100 degrees. Al loads appear safe in my rifle. They have proved to be too hot in my custom Mauser but it shows higher velocities even with anemic factory ammo. I have yet to try them in a Ruger #1A in 7x57. Brass has been loaded about six times and primer pockets were still reasonably tight. I plan on working some more with the last two loads in the M70 and do a run starting with the 47.0 gr. load in the Ruger #1. With luck it too will like those loads.

My main powder is 3031....which gives good or better accuracy in old 7 mm Mausers with worn out chambers...
It can give more velocity than people think....I use it exclusively in the Ruger 77...

for the Win Featherweight, I use either 4064 or IMR 4895....140 or 160 grain bullets...
2800 fps with 4064 and 140s....
2750 fps with 160s with 4064 or IMr 4895...

Stay away from WW760 or H414, unless you hunt at the same temperature as your load development! These powders are dangerous if loads developed at one temperature and later shot at a higher temperature.

They have about the same burn rate as IMR4350 at a certain temperature and burn a lot hotter as temperature rises.

H4350 and IMR4451 have about the same burning characteristics but are a little more temperature stable than IMR4350. (Though I have used IMR4350 since the early 60's.)

I prefer classic.

The case is darn near the 7mm-08 so I’ll vote Big Game with a magnum primer.

I genuinely appreciate the suggestions. Trying to locate them is a time-consuming process but I'm working on it.
Someone said Midway has $12 hazmat today and free shipping over $49 bucks but they don't have a single suggested powder in stock.

I may have missed it, but what's the bullet weight or weight range?

I do not have a problem with W760 in the 7x57. My load were worked up during the summer. Can you say 100+ degrees. FWIW,I also have a load with W760 and the 165 gr. Nosler Partition worked up in the summer. I shot a nice fat cow elk with it no problem at 14 degrees above zero. Range testing the day before the hunt showed no change in point of impact.

Any of the 4350's and H414/760 have given me all I needed from the 7x57 and bullets weighing between 140 and 175 grains.
