I just picked up my old (maybe 15 years) Oregon bow and decided I'd start bowhunting again this year. I had a new string put on it, limb savers, whisker biscuit and cat whiskers. I also had the shop make me 6 new carbon arrows. (shot aluminium before) I am amazed how quiet it is and easy to shot. After 10 shots at 20 years I was splitting arrows. My upgrades cost me $160.00. Not cheap but surely cheaper than a new bow. Delaware bow season starts on Sept. 1st. I can't wait.

I still have my Damon Howatt High Speed recurve - first bow I ever bought. Also still have my Jennings S-handle compound from 1975 or so. Don't shoot it anymore because the draw is too short--so guess my arms have lengthened. I now shoot a Browning Trophy Reflex from 1993 I think. Won't change from that since I'm getting to the point where I don't bowhunt much and physically it is harder too.
