To me, country and rap are very similar in they once represented their people. Now, they’ve caved to being pop-ified to sell itunes. Its a shame.

Wasn't Tim McGraw an Obama sellout?
Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.

I like it
But then I like old style country & a lot of old school rap
Cruisin down the street in my 6-4, jockin the bitches & slapping the hoes. Went to the park to get the scoop, knuckleheads out there cold shootin some hoop.
We did a video w my 74 year old cabin neighbor for his bday. Was blasting out biggie smalls hypnotize but replacing the chorus with Gary, Gary Gary can’t you see sometimes your words just hypnotize me. He’s a square dance champ btw As Gary went from his normal overall appearance to big pimpin Some of the neighbors from downriver thought we’d lost our minds I even took 4K in 100’s so he could make it rain 😂
Oh but his grandchildren living outside, liked to fell out when they saw & heard the video. We had a blast making it
To this day Whitey Ford sings the blues remains one of my fave albums of all time not a bad cut on it.
And salt n peppa shoop or push it. Hot damn if that don’t make you want to hit the dance floor, you’ve got no pulse or no rhythm.
I realize it’s not everyone’s cup o tea. But I like my music like I do my food, lots of variety & plenty of spice

I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

I'd rather my kids listen to "Country Rap" with lyrics about huntin', fishing, shooting guns, 4 wheelin' etc.
Instead of lyrics about livin' in the hood, cop killin', or banging white hoe's.
Just sayin

I can handle *some* Colt Ford. Otherwise there's plenty of good country out there these days, most just can't be heard on *country radio*

Seems like there are a few current country music folks that are wanna be rappers, making redneck urban jungle songs. Not a big fan of the trend. Nor am I..

It sucks a mean arse.
I prefer real country. Jason Boland, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers, Reckless Kelly, Micky and the Motorcars, Robert earl Keen, Turnpike Troubadours, Roger Creager, Paul Eason, Dale Watson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Todd Snider, etc
Nashville is a cesspool. Don't know a single one of those people. Lol.

Admittedly in my dating years I liked brown sugar. So that mighta had a lil sumpthin w me gettin exposed to rap & an appreciation for it. For I certainly enjoyed & appreciated the girls of color that took pity upon this poor white trash
