Yes, stay at home, social distancing, kids not going to school and believe it or not, masks.

Yes, stay at home, social distancing, kids not going to school and believe it or not, masks. But all that doesn’t protect you from ol corona virus. So go read what you wrote and tell us why it will defeat the ol flu but not corona?? Lol
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Because Medical providers aren’t paid big $$ to diagnose flu, cold, allergies, etc?

Yes, stay at home, social distancing, kids not going to school and believe it or not, masks. Except that not everyone lives in a place where they force you to do these things (example: CA).

Whatever kind of stomach bug I have had the last 3 days hasn't disappeared. No other symptoms but cramps and loose/runs. We were just talking at dinner last night that it seemed impossible to get regular sick anymore. If you read the Covid symptoms they've done their homework to label any and all symptoms to cover their bases.

I'm not pro mask, or Corona Crazy.
But what dumb ass here thinks the efforts most people take with corona aren't helping with the flu.
Just the being a bit more aware of hand washing, a little quicker to not go out if sick, maybe avoiding sick people a bit more...
Let's be honest about masks here. Totally honest.
They are not hugely effective. They do little to almost nothing to protect the wearer.
But.
They DO help to prevent spread. You mom taught you th cough in your hand, cover your face when you sneezed. Said it was polite and helped prevent spreading germs.
She was right!
So, a mask that covers the face and filters (a lot of) what you expell Will obviously help.
We really should be wearing them when around a lot of people, especially when they are not people we are with much. But it needs to be to avoid the biggest risks, not the BS some are mandating.
There, blather about that.
Funny thing, I pick my times to wear one. And it's minutes at a time, only in close contact with strangers. And usually only to avoid issues. If I don't have one, which is often, I don't give it 2 seconds thought. And I have yet to be questioned.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

If them masks are so effective against the regular ol flu how come you boys weren’t wearing them last yrs? 5yrs ago? 10yrs ago?? Ph uck how many people go get a flu shot every year? I’m headed in this week to get mine. Have you got yours?

I don’t know if masks have any effect or not. I doubt they do much. What’s interesting is that every medical provider in my area is adamant about masks. You should have seen the letters to the school board recommending that we mandated masks for the kids 100% of the time. My gut feeling is that had to recommend masks for liability reasons? We didn’t cave btw. I'm not pro mask, or Corona Crazy.

Point being a lot people saying the common flu is down because of social distancing, wearing masks etc. But ol corona cases are off the charts... Once people really think about that, the light bulb will come on.
