Did you shorten the mag.?
They get pretty nice without the long mag hanging down.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Yes and no on shortening the mag.
Yes, I have shortened one of the Howa Mini mags. It was easy to do. Took less than an hour for the first one. From there it would be a 20 minute job. It still holds 4 rounds too.
No, The picture you see actually has an aftermarket aluminum bottom metal from Jefferson Outdoors. Very nice addition which trims the look of the mini. For the life of me I can't get past Legacy Outdoors use of bottom-plastic and the ugly box mag sticking out of the bottom. Plus the thing is apt to drop out unexpectedly.
BTW, the same changes I made to bob the mini mag can also be done to the original long mag. It involves removing material from the floor plate and follower. That's it. Once done, the mag will hold at least two more rounds. maybe 3.
