Ok boys, and the few ladies that frequent here.
What is the best pellet grill out there these days?
Wife is telling me our grill needs replaced and asked me to look into how the different brands stack up now.
We have a Green Mountain now. Have gone through a couple Traegers before that. Curious what the collective knowledge and eperience says is the best.

Bought a 22lb brisket this afternoon and am now trying to figure out how in the hell I'm gonna cook it!

Have a green mountian, works great. Needed another and bought a landmann from Sam's it works great also, at about half the price. Waiting to see longevity on both of them

For what it’s worth, we’ve got a vertical PitBoss. It’s easy to use, but after doing jerky in it 2 weeks ago, I’m surprised how inconsistent the temps are top to bottom, left to right, and front to back. Very uneven.

Yoder is the best. Might not be the best value though. I would yield Rectec to Yoder. In fairness, I don’t know anybody with a Rectec, so you very well could be right.

My vote as well. FWIW, the weber pellet grills have had lots of problems. I read a few pages of reviews and switched to Recteq, very pleased.

I was about to ask the exact same question...
Bought a 22lb brisket this afternoon and am now trying to figure out how in the hell I'm gonna cook it! the wife loves the simplicity of the pellet grills. Push a button and it fires up. Adjust the temp via wireless controller or at least be able to keep track of the temps remotely. We have had a couple traegers and then moved to the green mountain (gmg). The gmg was built heavier and did a better job of maintaining steady temps. I liked the positive pressure pellet hopper and the shut down cycle. But I am not convinced to go with them again.

+1 on the RECTEC very stable temps and plenty big enough and very well made,
And a 6yr warranty!

Buy a Traeger and be done with it. Pricey but worth the money. Traegers are not pricey compared to Yoders by a long shot.

Found a listing of some that are made in the USA
Includes Yoder which costs around $1600 for a basic unit.
Blazin Grills out of Nebraska for about $13-1400
Others start around $2000 and up.

Ronnie I have 3 of them, one at home, one at farm, and one at hunting club. You will be very pleased with it.
