Nah,..I was that country boy moved to the city hanging around with all of those older guys from all over the country who has actually participated in the 60s instead of just watched it on the television.
Some of them thought that it was interesting to have an indigenous person in their circle. I just sat quietly and listened a lot.

Another guy was from Washington D.C.,.....working on a degree in political science at the University of Kentucky. He liked psychedelics also.
We decided to go hiking and camping in the Red River Gorge. He was a competitive kind of guy.
We shot a line straight through the gorge with a compass,...up a big hill then down another all day long. It was obvious that he was trying to outdo me in the hiking category.
At one point we were about 3/4ths the way up a big hill and came upon a rock wall that there was no way around. He said we would have to go back and find another route. There was a big tree about 40' tall growing up from the ground about 6' away from the edge of the hill where we were hiking. I took my back pack off and threw it off the hill.
He says, "What you doing?"
Then I bailed off the side of the hill and grabbed onto the tree,...climbed down it to the ground.
Not to be outdone,...he pitched his pack off and jumped out onto the tree too,..climbed down.
