Among the paintings, that were created up to 12,500 years ago, are ones depicting the now-extinct mastodon
Mastodons disappeared from North America as part of a mass extinction of most of the Pleistocene megafauna, widely believed to have been caused by overexploitation by Clovis hunters.
What are the odds that Mastodons broke out of a game proof fence at a hunting preserve? They may have been an invasive species like wild hogs,

Those images are pretty vivid for being 12,000 years old. I’ve seen rock etchings not nearly that old that have eroded to being barely recognizable. Color me skeptical.

Very interesting. That's a lot of real estate to go undiscovered until recently. You've probably heard of kent hovind from another thread. Made me think I want some of that paint. According to the article, almost all other traces of the tribe have been consumed by the warm, humid atmosphere of the area. Yet, that rock wall art looks like it was done last week...that is just AMAZING! ...have to say the chic scientist is not hard to look at....but then, she looks pretty good after having to endure a two hour car ride AND a four hour hike to get there! Sounds like a shopping trip with my dear, little wife.
