My dad fell Sunday and I found him on floor.
Took him to ER and they swabbed him. Before noon.
Went yesterday during Covid visiting hours, 3-6 and he was asleep.
Room door open.

Hospital calls today saying release for PT may need plan B, as the facility we discussed has limited Covid beds.

???

Yup, today, at noon, they tell me he's Covid positive.

Since I spent more than 15 minutes with him, getting him to ER..........I have to quarantine.

No symptoms.
Not hungry, but that's just stress.

Sis flew in from CO to see him, since a fall can kill an old timer and his health been getting bad last couple months.
Now that hes positive, no visitors.

What a clusterfork.

Guess she flew in to see my cousin.
My youngest may have already had it about a year ago.
But her immune system is crap.

Hope she doesn't get it. See what happens.
Im gonna hang out in back room for next 2 weeks.

Thanks guys. Hes 80 and has been falling now and then since summer.

So his spill and weakness was not out of the ordinary.
Just seemed like a little worse.

His GF died years ago and around the holidays he doesnt do well.

He did set up at a gunshow Nov 14/15.
So maybe got it there, or gas pump handle or ?

Totally spaced Covid since the event was not out of ordinary.
We are not under lockdown.

My sis he hasnt seen for yrs, i told her he fell Sun and she just flew in from CO.

I did not know he was Covid positive til today at noon and she had just landed.
Now they say no visitors. Maybe theyll.let her gown up?

My kids were gone all weekend and didnt come home til late yesterday.
I talked to one from a distance for 5 mins.

Back in Jan my middle and yougest were really sick.
Not pneumonia or strep.
Maybe they had it.

Youngest has had two medical procedures, swab tests negative. Not had antibody check

I have a dull headache and havent eaten but thats just weather and stress.
Doubt id get covid from the old man or hospital in 24 hrs.

But then again, i could get it anywhere.
Half the people not masking. Half of those not wearing correctly.
And pin pads, restaurants.....many barely doing masks, certainly not cleaning pin pads, doors or even tables.

Half arsed at best.

Whole town should be infected if as bad as claimed.

In my limited experience fun shows are filthy places with a lot of respiratory challenged people hacking and coughing and gagging, and this is under non-pandemic circumstances.

Who gave you the quarantine order, the local health department?

I work for a big company.
Daily questionnaire....one question is

Have you been in close proximity for 15 mins or longer w a covid positive person.

Answer yes and you cant come to work

Been a bunch get covid and a bunch quarantined that never did.

My sis might get to see him, from a distance.
Dunno yet.

The CDC rules are absolute horse$h!t. If I test positive =10 day quarantine, but if I loose 100% taste/smell, report it and presume positive, its 14 day quarantine.

I havent eaten for over 24 hrs
But thats just stress.
Can lose a few lbs anyway.

Weather was icy/ rainy so that explains the normal low headache i have.

Had one off and on all gun season due to crap weather.
Will be camped in back room of house for 2 weeks.
Gonna suck.

Even if i stay healthy.

Just worried about my kid.
