I've had a number of Cutty and sodas and never once had heartburn or a hangover from it. Sure it may be a little bland and uninteresting, but I wouldn't call it rotgut.

But Friday is my Gibson night. Gin with pickled onions, dirty. Rocks again. Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
