Has anyone actually touched one of the CVA Cascades yet? I am curious how Begara they are, and if the action is a 700 footprint.

I have one that I haven’t pulled out of the box. I’ll do that today and respond here.

Ok here's the deal: -This one is a short action, chambered in .308 -700ish footprint with non-integral recoil lug -Rear guard screw is forward of the trigger -Action mounted bolt release -Three lug bolt with plate extractor and plunger ejector -Stock is injection molded but reasonable rigid -Made in Spain/CIP proofed Hope that helps.

It very much does, thank you . I was hoping that these would be a drop in for a 700 stock, like the Bergara rifles. Overall, however, it looks like a heck of nice stick.

I haven't. I will try to get a scope on it and test it out soon, have had too many projects going lately.

I had one for a day (350 Legend). Loved it until I had a case separation. I was shooting both handloads and factory and several cases from each showed signs of incipient case separation, but I didn't notice until the case separated. No gas leakage or any indication upon firing there was an issue. I promptly sent it in for service and assume it had excessive head space. Waiting for news from CVA.
It shot great and had great trigger. It really is a nice rifle compared to others in this class. Has a lot of the best features of a 700, T3, and American with a solid feel. I look forward to getting it back from CVA.
The truth angers those whom it does not convince
