Had this the other night, likely will be my leftover dinner tonight. Had leftover turkey soup for lunch , with buckwheat groats instead of rice/noodles. I think my Russian side came out

But, back to dinner the other night. German style chicken with apples, some noodles, and a side of homemade kraut.

Ate well at duck camp this weekend.

Elk backstrap, mushrooms with garlic and wine, smashed garlic potatoes and a salad.

Duck tacos and rice another night.

Breakfast burritos in the blind. Wow.

Well, at least they weren't the styrofoam ones!


PS how was the hunt?

Dear wife grilled a small NY strip perfectly that we shared with oven roasted zucchini slices mopped in grape seed oil and Parmasan.

We killed a few geese, fewer ducks, pup got to retrieve several. Ate real good and got some brushing projects done, so it was a good trip.

A big thumbs up to all of that TimberRunner!

To go Mexican at a no tell motel in Van Horn, Texas....

Lady said get the green chicken enchiladas, so I did. Not bad at all ...

Corn flake crumbed pork tenderloin, garlic/onion/cheese/seeded mustard mash & gravy;

My dad shot a cow elk so we smoked some sausage yesterday
