Ray, yours and Stickfight’s investment appears to have the last laugh on this. You’ve both done better than very well.

This is a most interesting thread to follow.

I would never put a penny into bitcoin.

I know a guy who put everything into bitcoin 10 years ago when I was walking the dogs with him every night. He is a supervisor of software engineers and 25 years younger than me.

He has stopped coming over to use my shop to build his star wars robots.
He bought a house, his own mill, and his own lathe.

Idk. Heard it said before, “I don’t invest in anything I can’t understand.”

Also, if the world goes cashless, we might have other problems coming to think about.

Just some things that come to my small mind.

Best wishes to all whatever you invest in, or buy.

If you can predict when the crash will happen, buy it and then sell it just before then..

It will never be legal tender for currency. The .gov will not allow that because they can't control it.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

Unassociated I know but I keep thinking back of when the Hunts were cornering the silver market,

No one can argue with the success of Bitcoin to date.

I heard today that about half of all bitcoin mining takes place in China. I was triggered, but not enough to sell.

@jameslavish

If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.

This is inflation

I got a brother who sent me an etherium for Christmas—I thought that was pretty nice. He’s been into Bitcoin since 2011.
He talks to me sometimes about it but I don’t understand a word he says. Even when we were little he was smarter than me. I was a better shot though.

Saw a blurb on Bloomberg.
