I'm kinda in the market for a very small trailer to haul around to different hunting spots.. One person, pulling with a 1/2 ton Chevy with a 6.2 engine..
Light, easy to pull and durable for dirt roads etc.. Nothing fancy.. Any reccomendations ?

Small cargo trailers come pretty cheap, even new ones. A slight temporary conversion and you are on.
Good multi use investment.

You will have 80% weight and 100% of the problems with a small trailer. My voice of experience is go as large as your tow vehicle can handle. Your investment in comfort will pay dividends into the future.

Getting ready to explore the travel trailer life myself. All ready bought an older 2 axle in real nice shape .had the tires replaced and wheel bearings packed. Shook it down during deer season 21' sleeps me and my dog easy enough. If there was a woman involved who had to be appeased probably would not have bought less than 26' or older than 10 years . So far so good I got into it right so if it isn't big enough.I can still get out and break even atleast. Mb

Travel trailer quality BLOWS. Never again. I hunt out of a 5x10 enclosed trailer with a wood stove I built. Throw a 6' fold up table on one side and a cot on the other. Hauls an atv to camp if you want to or not. Doesn't leak like every 10 year old travel trailer on the planet. Was thinking about ordering a brand new one with RV type doors and some windows and building from the ground up.

Buy a trailer like Roy says, higher ceiling, you can add spray insulation, build bunk beds, etc

I have been using travel trailers for 20 plus years. They are all JUNK.
Never pull one down a dirt road. Tore the axles off one 4 times.
I drag my TT 10,000 a year from Canada to Mexico.
I now have a 4 season 22 foot TT. Best I could find.
Suspension was shot at 10,000 miles of HWY use.
Approaching 40,000 and I need to replace the bent axles. All are heavy maintenance and no problem if you are handy.
The small cargo trailer may be better for your use.
When the tailgate drops the BS stops.

Buy a trailer like Roy says, higher ceiling, you can add spray insulation, build bunk beds, etc Foam board works well too and the foil backed bubble wrap works well overhead while reflecting light to brighten it up. With a couple of old sheet metal jack stands you can make the ramp a porch when it's warm out.

I've tossed around the idea, butbdont really want to upgrade my tow rig. Thought about a small jayco tt like 174 or 184. But the covid madness put them in high demand, which means high prices. And I have concerns about their lack of durability.
But an insulated cargo trailer would work for hunting. I just need somewhere to sleep for me and the hounds.
