It appears he did nothing to prevent the discovery of his identity. So I'm not so sure he wanted to live through it.
The most important part of the case is not being talked about - forensic evidence at his homes.

I know a lot of people think this was a false flag. I don't think it was.
The bomber went out his way to a great degree to avoid human casualties. 3 non critical casualties. The devastation was huge.
The guy was smart. He was very well planned(as far as we can tell he built this bomb right under the noses of his nosy neighbors). He was not driven by hate.

I think he went by Tony Warner. Not positive, but I've seen this floating around in articles.
I think what happens is law enforcement publicizes the suspects name with the full name for identification purposes. This then sticks in the mind of the public. My guess.

Analysts described the trail as scorched atoms from a DEW(directed energy weapon).
