That sums up my dad's attitude completely. He made sure he got his with no concern for anyone or anything else including his own family. He'd take a nickel even if it cost each kid $100,000. He graduated in the 60s and he and his friends were all about partying and looking out for themselves even if it meant the kids went hungry. Same generation to be the first to leave the country worse than they found it. All of us gen Xers grew up being nothing but cheap or free labor for our self absorbed partying parents. We took care of ourselves and often our siblings too. Now we are over compensating trying to be the parents we never had and we are raising the next generation of self absorbed brats. It'll take another great depression to bring about another great generation. Luckily we have Biden and Harris ready to destroy the economy and make life very difficult for people again. At least half the country that supported them deserve them. It's just unfortunate they'll take the rest of us down with them. Bb Same fuggers that were big time UAW members . Then go buy the cheap junk Buffalo tools to work on their 1000cc Tri-Kawasaki street bike .
