https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/breaking-cz-in-late-stage-talks-to-acquire-colt/Colt has been dead from the neck up for decades, maybe the Czechs can actually manage them AND make money at the same time. Imagine a company who can't make a profit during times of unprecedented demand, and you gotta wonder how they COULDN'T make a living at it. While I have concerns about a major supplier to our military being owned by another country, overall, it's a minor part of the defense apparatus, really. Either way, it will be an interesting development.

CZ can't even build a pistol they intro'ed over a year ago. What makes them think they can build a whole line?

Since CZ already owns Dan Wesson, I wonder what'll happen with the 1911s? The shop I used to work in was a CZ-direct dealer. They were an easy company to work with.

Since CZ already owns Dan Wesson That's what I was inferring above. CZ owns DW, and DW intro'ed the DWX over a year ago and there still isn't one out in the wild. And I'm getting damn sick of waiting....grin

They can't make and sell enough of the old favorites.

Interesting, I have several CZ's and a Dan Wesson. Pleased with all of them. I have had several Colt's as well. Perhaps CZ can make Colt what it once was. Doubt they could make it worse than it has been.

Colt made colts will be worth more money Colt will likely still make Colts. Think Winchester/Olin/USRA/.... Some of the finest Winchester rifles ever produced were made under USRA ownership.
