What’s going price for clean Rem Model 7 BDL .223 18.5” barrel, with the CDL style walnut Schnabel stock?

Here, 400 bucks, gunbroker 1400.00 Both of these responses drew a chuckle. That’s about the truth. All anyone can say with 100% certainty ... is more than 6 months ago!

Thanks guys, I think SandBilly summed it up. I can't make much sense of the market.

A new one on me, the Model 7 CDL did not have a Schnabel stock. Maybe something got switched?

Think the CDL had the black forend but not the Schnabel forend. But I am wrong more than right these days.
Regardless, it's one I'd love to own.

I also believe the CDLs had 20" barrels. So it sounds like maybe just an original wood stocked (schnabel stock). Maybe??
I am thinking probably $550 to $700ish depending on overall condition. GMO mind you.

How about a very early Model Seven in 17 Rem and 222 Rem?

I think this also. Price I don't really know as I have seen them sell on forums and market between 700-1200 depending on how bad the person wants it. I have one like op is describing but would rather have a 20"

On guns in Guns International ~ $800
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Saw a 308 Model 7 at the Kingston NY gun show last weekend with a $700 price tag.

Model 7 7-08 wood stock - $795 Most of the other model 7's although synthetic are $795. I would prefer the 7mm-08 in a model 7 over a 223 mostly because I consider the model 7 a carry rifle and it would be a perfect deer rifle. Others may prefer the 223 for their reasons.

It depends on condition and originality. Mint condition completely original early production examples sell as high (at online auction) as $750 and go down from there. The larger calibers seem to be bringing more ... possibly because of a wider ranger of usability (specifically for deer hunting).

I recently watched a new 243 predator fetch something like $900 on gunbroker. A year ago you could have bought a 100 or more for $400 and change.
