My Savage 99 picatinny rail came in the mail today. Remember the post back before Thanksgiving about the Savage 99 rails on Ebay. Mine didn't show up and I complained on here about getting stiffed. It came today, post marked Nov. 21. I bought the scope at the Rock Springs gun show Thanksgiving weekend in anticipation of putting it on a Savage 99. Well it's finally happened. Enjoy my idea of Saturday night humor. When emperor Biden gets through outlawing evil semi-autos the people who are into such things will have to switch over to lever actions with assault type optics. It's even chambered in 7.62 X 51 Nato. left side overall
right side overall
scope thingy left side. It's made by Osprey and has, WOW!!!! 3 different colored lighted reticles
scope thingy right side
The old fashioned Marbles tang sight is even obsolete. It has its own iron sight mounted on top of the scope thingy. Unless Biden's Chinese troops get lucky and blow the scope off the rifle with a lucky shot. iron sight with day glo front sight

Where is the laser? The flashlight with strobe. How about the sonic disrupter? Thousand yard Laser range finder ? You can add another 10-15 lbs of tacticool c h i t to that David!
Nice looking 99 under there though!

David did you have to notch the rail to clear the cocking indicator? When i got mine i emailed them and told them they dont work on lever safety 99’s without modification. Just curious if they fixed the issue.
The rifle is one of the earliest that I bought. Probably #3 in my collection. I got it at a gun show in Augusta, Ga. It's really clean. It came with the tang sight. I can't remember shooting it with the tang sight but scoped it with a normal scope and shot it some a long time ago. The lever must be zip tied from when I displayed it with my collection at collector gun shows. The base is notched for the cocking indicator. Got lucky on that one. Maybe I can find a picatinny rail to screw around the skinny barrel for some more accessories. Don, there is no cheek weld when sighting with the iron sights. But assault rifles are area weapons anyway. Just point it in the general area of the target and spray bullets. Maybe I should get it rebarreled to 5.56.

A see through base would really get that open sight up high. But wait a minute I see what you're saying I wouldn't need it. I could also replace the antiquated front sight with a day glo type. I could also duct tape a flashlight and my rangefinder to the barrel. deerstalker, what's a sonic disrupter?
