Just wondering what the turnaround time was for those who sent their rifles in for the recall. Mine arrived on 12/24 but didn’t actually get accepted until 12/29/20. I know it was a terrible time to send it in but was just curious. Also, did anyone have any correspondence with Henry while their rifle was there? Do they email a tracking number when rifle ships back?
Thanks

I had a similar issue. After a couple of weeks and emails I called them and the lady on the phone quite honestly said mine had been lost in the system and she would get on it. This was just to get the box and shipping label. She did get on it and box/label arrived three or four days later. I shipped the rifle the next day and had it back about ten days later. Call them.

Ed, I think I am going to have to call them. Email hasn’t gotten anywhere and I am sure they are swamped. Thanks for the reply

The lady at Henry that I dealt with (Tracy?) was a peach.
What fresh Hell is this?

Good info Pappy. Will call tomorrow and report back here. From what I read, 2 weeks is about as long as the turnaround usually takes. I’ll be at 3 weeks on Tuesday. We shall see

Called and talked to a rep from Henry today... she was very nice and added me to an mail list to be contacted with an update on my rifle. Received an email from Tracey within the hour and she stated there is a pretty big backlog but my rifle should be completed and shipped in a couple of weeks. Very nice and extremely helpful reps. Sucks to wait two more weeks but it is what it is!

Was looking at a .30/30 with nice wood in an LGS yesterday, but it was missing the little dimple that indicates the new trigger is inside. Suggested that they send it in so a buyer wouldn’t have to, but won’t hold my breath on it.
What fresh Hell is this?

No doubt it would be a plus to not have to send it in immediately. Has anyone seen a new Henry with the dimple? Curious

The 44 mag I bought a few weeks ago has the dimple. I think all 2020 and newer have it.

I sent mine in early on. Henry received it on a Thursday and they sent it back out to me the following Monday. It was ten days total and six of that was shipping transit.
The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

Where is this dimple located? Thanks. Russ The dimple is inside the trigger guard behind the trigger. This link has photos showing the location down towards the middle of the page. https://www.henryusa.com/recall/

Update on rifle:
Shipped on 12/21/20 and arrived at Henry on 12/24 with no one to accept (pretty bad timing on my part); accepted on 12/29/20
Received email this am that it is shipping back to me with estimated arrival date of 2/10/2021
7 weeks and 2 days if it arrives on time. Not nearly as good as what I have read on the net or even in this thread but it was a really bad time to send it in o er Christmas and new year’s holidays.
Just ready to have it back and hopefully the trigger is much better like reported here. We shall see...

If it's like mine you will be more than happy with the trigger.

She came home today! Much better trigger, breaks pretty consistently at 3 3/4 # too! Be the weekend before I can shoot it but pretty happy all in all!
