Youβre thinking of potted meat. Gots too much salt for me. Have you seeing blurry after eating a can.
I hear you on that. I got a buddy that can put salt on his bacon, and it doesn't bother him a bit. He's in his mid 70's. Don't have a clue how he can get away with it, other than luck-of-the-draw when it comes to genes. My momma never was able to buy us any of that high falutin' potted meat stuff when we was kids. Always did git biscuits with a little mustard on 'em though. Dang. He sounds like the Burgess Meredith character on grumpy old men. π

Thought Tillamook just made gas station jerky. Tillamook Ice Cream is fine. Tillamook Extra Sharp White Cheddar? If you haven't, you haven't lived yet.

In Twin Falls, maybe, bunch of Dutch dairymen over there. They'll put the Wisconsin Cheeseheads to shame. My daughter is is Wisconsin and sends over a care package occasionally (did I raise that one right, or what?). People around here think mozzarella is "kinda strong tasting". Costco carries Tillamook. One of my major weaknesses, but easily dealt with at $6 /lb.

If I buy a big chunk of the Tillamook at the Costco my wife eats it and complains I'm trying to fatten her up. Them folks in WI must have migrated there from NW PA. Those folks thought garlic in the pasta sauce made it too "spicy". Salt and a little black pepper was about all they could handle on their head cheese and scrapple.

Mac. do they have Brookshires in Amarrillo, it's only two hr's away, closer to Am. than to OKC, and Better people. None in Amarillo. Wish there was. My actual address of record is still in Athens. Every town down that way has one.

Go to the Amish grocery and get you some of this. Package says Walnut Creek, but ignore that. It's real-by-gawd gubbermint cheese. Best schitt ever.

I like cheese. Not the snobby high dollar molded stuff.

Same here. I'll take government cheese over most other kinds.

If a feller has to eat that.... he might consider walking into the wind, following tracks,, shooting straight and bringing a game bag. Life is better with real meat.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.
