Some yrs ago visited HW and handled a WSM similar what's in the link (plain Jane blued with rubber pad IIRC) ...it felt fantastic! -Bulletproof and Waterproof don't mean Idiotproof.

Thanks Starman, that makes sense, similar to WR I guess. I have owned and own takedowns with normal thread and not as good. I have an early (1913) H&H 375 Belted Magnum magazine rifle on a Magnum Mauser action, takedown in the barrel unscrewing as distinct to the latter H&H method of removing the barreled action from the stock. Nice rifle but not as good as square thread for longetivity. Cheers
