Prefer CSBL CST, or Dark variants, but open to any 16.5 or 18" guns. Will not pay inflated GB prices.
Thanks!

Prices ain’t inflated.
I’ve been looking for awhile, that’s really what they’re worth.
Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

I’ve been looking for awhile, that’s really what they’re worth. Facts. Generally what happens when a wanted product is no longer being made. Until Ruger get things online and running, those are the prices to be paid.

I just bought one, I thought I paid a little too much. I’ve been told I got a great deal.
What do you expect to pay?

I'm also open to a 44 mag.
I didn't realize all the extenuating circumstances that caused the high prices; i just assumed it was due to the regime change.
I'm not averse to paying a fair price, however I'm not in any hurry either.

I've been watching the 1895GBL due to I possess one new in box.. They're prices are basically double. Those that live in states that utilize them for hunting or self defense i assume are the ones seeking them because they're no longer in production. I live in a state where basically the only time we utilize the 45-70 is during an early primitive weapon season. But the said rifle has to be a break open single shot.

I bought mine 1894 in 357 back in 2019 paid 700.00 for it not mint but did not want a mint would not get out into the woods. Got this one and it is a gem just about my go to gun. That being said I sold two 39A this week for 1k each. Say 75% on wood and metal. Ones that had not been loved on in awhile. Both where to be parts guns. O well. Cash is king.

I hadn’t much experience with Marlin rifles previously but picked up a 1979-vintage 1894 in 44mag last year for $550. Clean metal and wood with a mild patina. I guess I did better on it than I thought!
After a couple sessions with it, one of the nicest shooters I never knew I needed! 😁
Good luck with your search.

Smells fishy.....side stamped serial number....usually means Remlin, JM stamped barrel that looks bit wonky. Hmmmm.
I've seen a lot of weird looking JM stamps, I also heard for a brief time there were Remington made guns using up the last of the JM stamped barrels.
I can say positively, I would not want barrel made in the last days of Marlin.....and certainly not in the early days of Remington making them

Left side of receiver--begins with ---'MR------ Mean Marlin/Remington-------thus the 'RemLin Problem childs are from 2010-2015 (ish) X/bolt safety came along around 1983 44's will bring less buck than 357's Davidson's special runs will fetch top bucks Date of mfg pretty easy to figure out with this chart https://marlinspares.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Marlin-Date-codes-ver8-396mb2-1024x791.jpg

Add another 4 and you have a better chance in finding one, like the NIB 444 I have for trade only.

I agree with you, I'd pass on that one as well. Who knows it might be a great rifle, BUT, if it's not, you have a problem.

I picked up a clean 1894 carbine in 357 off the used rack at Cabelas for $600 about a month ago. No safety with a gold trigger. Made in 1980. Not sure what they were thinking but I’m not complaining.
