He wants to be first in line as the 'people's' choice for GOP presidential candidate '24... gotta make that noise, move that air around, look at me.
Kent Worse than Romney? Or McCain? BTW- Romney has been 'out and about' quite a bit lately acting up the 'centrist' role, strategery? Is he THAT stoopid?

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/paul-visit-state-legislatures-election-lawsRand Paul vows to visit 'every state legislature' over the next two years in bid to fix elections laws by Michael Lee | | January 24, 2021 04:27 PM Sen. Rand Paul vowed to go to “every state legislature” over the next two years in a bid to fix election laws, despite what he said were Democrat and media denials that problems exist. “Partisan Democrats in the media think they can get away with just calling Republicans liars because they don’t agree with us,” the Kentucky Republican said on Twitter. “I voted to certify the electors and seat the new President. It’s not about that anymore. They won’t even admit there is election fraud and want to pretend nothing happened.” Paul then said he would work with legislatures across the country to promote more secure election laws. “That’s why I’ll spend the next two years going to every state legislature trying to fix the laws, protect our vote and stop election fraud,” Paul said. Partisan Democrats in the media think they can get away with just calling Republicans liars because they don’t agree with us. Watch me stand up to one here: https://t.co/nwmEoAJ5zt— Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) January 24, 2021 That’s why I’ll spend the next two years going to every state legislature trying to fix the laws, protect our vote and stop election fraud. Paul included a clip of his interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, with the two clashing over whether or not fraud had an impact on the results of the 2020 presidential election. While Stephanopoulos said that there was no evidence to support former President Donald Trump’s claim that widespread election fraud cost him the election, Paul argued that there was lawlessness by state legislatures that warranted further investigation. “There were several states in which the law was changed by the secretary of state and not the state legislature,” Paul said in response to Stephanopoulos asking if Paul “accepted” that the election wasn’t stolen from Trump. “To me, those are clearly unconstitutional and I think there is still a chance that those actually do finally work their way up to the Supreme Court.” Paul pointed specifically to Pennsylvania, where changes to state election law without the legislature's consent led to controversy in what turned out to be a narrow win for President Biden in the state. “I accepted the state certifications,” Paul continued. “But it doesn’t mean that I think that there wasn’t fraud, and that there weren’t problems that have to be investigated and it doesn’t mean that the law wasn’t broken. I believe in Pennsylvania they broke the law, and I believe that if that would ever get a real hearing in the Supreme Court. … I do believe that the Supreme Court would overrule and say that they did break the law.” I like Senator Paul.

Does he actually think that the solid blue legislatures in a few big states are going to reform what worked for them this time? He's delusional. Only if the conservatives in those States stand up and say "enough is enough and never again". Someone has to rally them. It's like they have been beaten down into silence. kwg

That interview pretty much summed up the mess we have today. Media person only wanting his view heard, and politician answering a question, just not the one asked.
Stephanopolous was an idiot "will you say election wasn't stolen", then Rand saying there was fraud, those are very different things. Rand was right, there were some strange things that shouldn't have happened with rule changes.
The two talked past each other rather than having the media and a politician actually talk about a topic.

Stroking voters most deeply emotional based fears is a tactic that has been successful forever in election campaigns.
A two year tour? That takes him right up to his next reelection, what a coincidence...
Stroke Rand stroke there's voters out here that need stroked...

Rand Paul and his version of libertarianism will soar in popularity after 4 years of the leftist, socialist agenda that AOC and Kamala will spout through Biden using him as Charlie McCarthy.

This is just my opinion. I made the original post thinking that there would be some positive responses. I think it's a start and someone has to do it.
Agree. It's a long shot. Just think about it. How many folks have moved from a blue State to a red State? Yes, they tend to take their politics with them but NOW is the time to get them thinking about making that change.
Mr. Trump and Mr. Paul made up and were "friends" several years ago. Now is the time to get these new red State residents to thinking about what they left behind. Not every mind is going to get changed but this has to start somewhere. On this subject, Rand and Donald are on the same piece of paper. That wasn't so just 4 years ago.
If we can't get them to rethink their election laws now it is never going to change. They left a State because they were pissed off at the system. Why would they want to go back to the same system ?? It's going to take some pushing to get them pointed in the right direction while their a$$ is still stinging from the move. Maybe between Rand and Donald they can do that. All it takes is the right message at the right time. If they never hear the message nothing will change. If we do nothing then absolutely nothing will change. Now is the chance to shove it down the democrats throat.
I don't ever see Donald going back to the White House but I see him becoming an elder Statesman in a new America where he gets to continue his MAGA message. A message that the democRATS want to silence him on and silence him totally. So much so they will sell America to the highest bidder to just to make it happen. Now is the time to reinforce the message that they want to silence Donald Trump and Rand's message that their was in fact fraud. Right now we only have the democrat message and it is a phony message. A dead end message
Just my opinion.

Rand Paul= curley hair, from kintucky, got his arse handed to to him by DJT. Patriots need a charismatic leader. Not a geek who got thumped by his neighbor in his own front yard.

So, I get it. You all would rather hold a grudge and stay pissed off than take the chance he may be on to something. A chance to redeem himself and ferret out the fraud ?? Why am I not surprised.

No, we want new people who haven’t continually proven their inability to stand for a single damn thing. What exists has been proven not to work. We need a change of strategy, and that will not come without new personnel. Those currently in place are the problem, not the solution.

I'll sure take him over Mitt Romney who is for sure running. The Dem nominee in 24 is Kammie Harris.
