I like them, too. Everybody I know that has one loves them.

Wouldn't mind having one, either.

Uh-oh.

I ordered second magazine for it 4 or 5 years ago. Took S&W close to a year to send me one.

Back in the 1980s, I had an AR-7 Explorer .22 that worked great for thousands of rounds, but one day some small part broke, and I took it to the local gunsmith (I happened to be visiting with relatives in North Carolina at this time, so this was a NC gunsmith). He repaired it, but I had to head back to New York where I lived then, so didn't have a chance to test fire it before leaving town. When I got back home, I took it into the backyard to test it out, and it fired full auto. So long as you had your finger on the trigger, it kept shooting. Had to have it fixed again. I don't know what the NC gunsmith did to it, but it became full auto, whatever it was.

I suspect that this is a variation on the "Lost them all in a tragic boating accident" line.

I’d need a low powered scope nowadays but it looks like a lot of fun.

I bought one last summer and put a Sig Romeo Five on it. I love it... except it is a jamming mofo. I hate to send it back but it's looking like it is gonna go back to S&W.

Me too. There was a time when PSA was selling them for $299 IIRC.

CDNN had them for $299 for a good while. About 6 or 7 years ago.

I put a small red dot on mine co-incent with the open sights. I can hit a 10” gong at 200m about 80% of the time. The thing digests every brand of ammo I feed it. I took the 25 round magazine that came plugged to 10 rds and opened it back to 25 rds. Of all my firearms that I used to have before they all fell overboard, it was my favorite to shoot.

I bought one when they first came out, non-threaded. Had to send it back when it puked extractor parts all over. I had Smith slap on a threaded barrel while they had it in for springs and extactor. Been flawless ever since. I put a magpul fixed stock and freefloat handguard on it a year or so ago. Much improved....
