This is a riot, .......

.....see I'm a citizen of the Commonwealth too,
(dual citizen, AMERICAN first),......JSTUART, and I watched my other chosen country (Canada) go right down the toilet with folks muffled PC voices (Their heads were so far up their gazoo you could barely hear them)..........voicing the same sorta' dialogue that you espouse.

Courtesy my American AZZ....you're being called on this one pal.
You're the one that chose to play the smarmy little British officer chasin' Quigley.......so's why don't we get it right on?

BTW, I'm not Quigley, ....more of a Gus Mcrae, Woodrow Call type.

Play these games....... win these sorta' prizes.

I see where the problem lays, my use of "the country" did not refer to Australia it merely refers to the fact that I reside in COUNTRY NSW, if this has been presented in such a way as to be misinterpreted then I apologise.
It would help if anyone has a query as to one of my posts to simply ask me to explain my intention, I shall not abuse you so please extend me the same courtesy.
Regards, J Stuart.

Ps, please TRY to read this entire post.

Sorry there Bub, the bit you wrote referring to us Americans, ie. "the horror on their faces when they find that they cannot carry is something to behold."... has got folks riled up.

See, once ya get used to a freedom and a right, the thought of it being taken away really is horrifying. Wars have been fought over stuff like that.

Listen old cock, I am describing people and events, if you do not find this palatable then feel free to disagree, however if you want to pick an argument then do so with someone else as I am not interested.

On a lighter note.....

" Strychnine / Peyote / Landgridge Effect"

No one is taking the 16 lb toads lightly, or their prediliction for attacking warm targets in the dark. I think my Chupacabras are a bit spooked at them, and that is sayin' something.
The reports of upsized Hummingbirds that sound like Cessna 185s is nothing but delusional liberal media hype, and the old fat guy that got impaled in his garden night before last was a victim of a "Birdstrike" by a 216 lb. Curved Bill Thrasher, and nothing more.
EPA, and FEMA have proscribed my attempted sale of our newest species, the 2 headed horny Toad......( this is not capitalized, as we're waiting on registry of same)....
My Lawyer's working on this, and I'm pretty sure that the 9th Circus Court of Schemeels will soon grant me the right to sell 'em on E-bay.
An unabashed plug, here ....be the first in your Reptile group to own one of these truly unique critters.....the rumors your hearing about them goin' on the fight with themselves are just that. On the odd occasion when one of these splendid creatures does chew one of it's own heads off, and thereby self destruct.... your money will be cheerfully refunded.
I'll be getting my mail in Cabo San Lucas,Baja del Sur ....General Delivery, until the heat from the petunia launching stunt blows over.

Argument? Where?

Prob'ly what you don't realize is how seriously many Americans, ESPECIALLY the sort of Americans who post on a hunting and shooting forum like this one, take their right to keep and bear arms.

Especially given the fact that these same rights are constantly under attack.

That is funny, here I was thinking that wars were invariably about poor men dying for rich mens assets.

Ps, seriously enough to jump all over someone who has not done you any harm, or seriously enough to think that YOU ALONE should be allowed to carry when in Australia, by the way which part of my discourse made you think I was personally attacking you or your rights in your country ?

Which line of thought might account for why Australia ain't got a 2nd Amendment.

To the original theme, my house is set up much the same as Barak's. I have handguns cached in several out of reach locked places (I have children)ready to rock if called upon. I also have long guns (8 shot riot 12 gauge stoked with 00, slugs on the stock carrier, AR with 30 rounds of Hornady TAP and a spare mag similarly stoked) in key fall back places, in case of force-able entry. In that sort of situation the idea would be to gather young-ins to one of these fortified armed positions and either fight it out or scare them off with overwhelming firepower.

A source of reverant, and zealous joy...? Oh, for sure certain.

"Funny"......?

You know, bein' back at home for quite a while now has not really settled me down, when it comes to the subject of "Arms Control"....having watched a great shooting sports country go down the Globalist toilet once, while residing there.

Sorry to bore you, Roy.

We got the boredom factor aced during the "OSHA Scramble"...., and if that's where you've got to come at this from, .....your call, pard.

I've had enough of this smarmy compliant attitude, comin' at me from wharever direction, ....it will get return fire.

just the way it is.

"Ahem"... I quote (again)... "the horror on their faces when they find that they cannot carry is something to behold"... Followed on your part by further dismissives...

I merely presented another viewpoint, without attacking you personally at all.

BTW... Having lived in England, and in the U.S., I think the laws of Australia should be such that EVERY law-abiding subject there should be allowed to bear arms.

The fact that you apparently do not agree may indeed be telling.

So, ....you don't think that everyone should first have to do "Paperwork".....!?

.........another "Misfit" Quigley type, .....this Birdwatcher.

Could we get a call out ( price ) on a Pound of Powder, in the "Country" where this character lives.....NOW ?

.........Waiting.

Sorry, that was directed at the character that I have on ignore.
And no, I would most definitely not prefer that new Australians in the cities be armed, particularly not carrying.

By the way your PM service has reached it's limit.

sorry Roy.

Seems that a hush has fallen on the crowd here.

This is a post that came in to me from a friend in Aus.,during that OSHA scramble, and a different viewpoint, in truth.

*************************************

"Yes, I saw a little on this and I am sorry to hear of this development.... Have had an opportunity to read some more on it. This is how the antis and do-gooderrs will go about taking away your firearms now and in the future. With every dirty trick at hand. If you can`t take them away from the front, attack from the side in a way they least expect. Which is what is happening to you all - a dirty side ways or back door attack! This almost seems more restrictive than here if it went ahead. Is a about as stupid as I have heard of and I am sure dumbass Aussie polies [politicians] would run with it too given wind of it... I hope every shooter in the US gets acting on this and tries their hardest to let the GOVT or any political committee know it isn`t getting away with such BS!!! For firearm owners to sit back and be complacent, would be a disaster. Those who think enough people are complaining, no need for me to add to it or those who think it won`t affect them, must be born under a stone... People here under our national firearm confiscation said "hey, its only semi autos the Govt wants to ban. We don`t own one anyway, so who cares" These people are whistling in the breeze now, wondering what the hell happened as they lost so much more. Give an inch to these wankers and you lose a mile when it comes to firearm ownerships and this great past time!!!"

******************************

Pretty much says it all, ....No?

Sorry all to tears about the hi-jack,B.,......and the thread coherancy bit, but like I said, this sorta' nonsense should expect to get ratpacked, when and where it shows it's pointy little beanbrained head.......and if not on this site......

.........where?
