I finally got there myself with a Cooper Jackson Varmint Rifle in .221 FB. I do wish that we had more stuff to shoot at here in WI. I know that those one hole targets that they include are shot indoors in a tunnel at something way short of 100 yards; more like 36 yards I'd read, but the thing still shoots way better than I could ever hope to. 52 yards.

Yep, with 36X target scope. They will shoot though. 223 MV 6x18 VXll Norma brass, GMM, 24 grains LT-32, 52 SMK 100 yards 5 shots 2 consecutive groups. Picked this up off the web back in 07 I believe. Might be of interest

Nice find VG. I've enjoyed Cooper rifles for some time. I have Varmint Extremes in 223, 220 Swift, & 25 WSSM. All are excellent and capable of shooting better than I am. If I ever get a 17 it will be a Cooper.

It's the shooter, not the rifle. Dunno about that. Watched a friend with a .308 Cooper put 5 in one small hole at 200 yds a few years back. Gotta think the rifle had something to do with that. He had 3 others that shot close to that level also.
I am..........disturbed.

My first brand new rifle was a Mod 21 in .204 Ruger. I bought it on a pipeline job up in North Dakota to go Prairie Dog hunting with some pipeline buddies. Bought it at the Scheel's in Grand Forks. I might add that that Cooper is what gave me the bug which resulted in full blown rifle loonyism. Yep, it can outshoot me! he he

They're built less than a mile from where I grew up. Solid, accurate rifles, from the few I have played with.
