It was boring. I am sadly disappointed that the first 3 shots looked like this:



Where's the challenge is this?

move the target out to 100 yds, and shoot off hand!

well this is what you can do with one, once you figure out what your doing...

I were offhand but my legs were a little short.

Had figured I'd have to adjust sights etc.....first 3 out of the gun. Will move out next time.

Here's the most symmetrically racked buck I've ever shot...

If you were just developing a load, that target pretty nice, but in a Beef Shoot, where I shoot, you'd have to do that at 50 yards, to win anything. In regular MLer matches, you shoot 5 shots per bull. Nice little deer, didn't read what load you were using, as just saw the picture on the way by to send this note. MLers a LOT more accurate than non-users thing they are.

BTW, the only people who claim a 1-48 won't shoot PRBs are people who don't know anything about MLers. The Hawkins were made with that twist a lot, as would handle slugs and RBs.

Flintlocks are the only weapons that are reliable.

Flintlocks and other firearms aren't weapons, they're firearms only.

A firearm becomes a weapon when it is used as a weapon in defensive, or offensive action. Otherwise it is only a firearm. If Greatgrandma's hat pin was used to keep away unwelcome attentions, it was a weapon, otherwise it was still a hat pin...

When California instituted the first movements toward banning the so-called Assault Weapons, anti-gun legislators read articles, out of gun magazines, into the legislative records to help prove their point... That is how the word Asssault Weapon was attached to the AR-15 and other civilian copies of military rifles... Careless (dumb) gun writers started using the term Assault Weapon and it has stuck to ALL GUN OWNERS DETRIMENT.

On firearms oriented forums, we shoot ourself in the foot everytime we say the word weapon. Anti-gun people read these forums, and PEE DOWN THEIR LEG when they see the word weapon.

Lets make an effort to stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

Your choice... However, I was in the legislature, watching the debate when the liberal left read those articles into the legislative record.

Maybe you should look and see which side of your bread the butter is on, the left, or the right...! Why give aide and comfort to our liberal enemies?

An old friend of mine, now passed on, had a beautiful set of Irish made flintlock pistols that he�d picked up in London, IIRC, when he was in the Canadian Air Force in WW2. No case or accessories, but they were sure easy on my eyes. Bill ignored my many offers on them, and after he passed, I was not able to find out who ended up with them.
Not that it matters to you folks in the US, but for a bit of a chuckle perhaps or to use us as a bad example.
It would seem that our Canadian government doesn�t regard any flintlock, matchlock or wheel lock as a �weapon�, because we don�t have to register them!?!
Now those of us who possess ultra-modern cap locks were asked to register those evil weapons of mass destruction.
One never knows what will happen when any government gets involved in this sort of regulatory nonsense.
One only knows it seems to end badly���.for me.

but calling things or actions other names to twist the meaning for any reason is a slippery slope I'd not want to travel on.

Digitaldan- I have a variety of 50 cal MZ projectiles, If you want to try some before diving into a particular type, let me know, we could work something out.

Blammer, I do appreciate the offer but ol' #107 be .45 cal and twisted 1:60. All bullets for the young sprig be round I'm afraid.

Yep...they just haven't played with their rifle enough to get her to shoot right.
I've a 42" Ed Rayle barrel with a 1-48 twist that is a real shooter of patched roundball.

I love flintlocks.
