For years, I've used a Sharpie to mark charge weights and other data on cases. But I swapped to Hornady OneShot as a lube and it doesn't remove the Sharpie markings like the old RCBS lube used to.
Anyone else had the same problem? How do you get the Sharpie off of the brass?
Thanks,
Okie John

Haven’t had the problem, but acetone should take care of the sharpie. If you don’t have acetone, nail polish remover should do it as well.

Rubbing alcohol and paper towel. I use it every time after im done loading. Takes off sharpie and removes any oil and lube.

Just tried it. Almost instant results.
Thanks, Campfire.

The 91% Iso works better than the more common 70%. I always have a couple of bottles on hand

Good tip, I'll have to try that KK. I see they are even cheaper at Brownells. Krazy Kloth

I use carb spray.
It's not that permanent when it gets hit with it comes right off.

I've always used Rain X to get sharpie off of dry erase boards, it should work on brass.

Any volatile solvent, the cheaper and safer the better, e.g. alcohol.
IMO, abrasives like Krazy Kloth or steel wool are overkill and less effective, unless you want a bit of shine along with removing the ink.
