Yep!
Am 68, and had "tonsillitus" more than once as a young kid. Apparently my parents didn't feel like spending whatever amount of money was involved then (I was their first child), but did with my three younger siblings--all of whom not only got their tonsils out but the typical post-operative ice-cream treatment, which kind of pissed me off.
Apparently I do have a pretty good immune system, which is what "medical science" eventually decided tonsils are all about.

60 and still have mine, did have a wisdom tooth pulled cause of a bad cavity. Still have the other 3.

59 still have tonsils, just had a baby tooth removed in the rear and got an implant. Still have 1 baby tooth left on top, I guess its the bicuspid tooth?
