143 ELDX vs 130 Gamechanger .
Much difference in toughness of these 2 bullets or on game performance on deer at different ranges ?

Also what about the ELDM vs the SST ?

I only count two. Where are the other 4.5 questions?

If you're worried about bullets for deer, then yep.

The other stuff I got is basically ridiculing you, because deer are easy to kill with nearly anything. There isn't much difference in "toughness" between any of the bullets you listed. They will all work great, or not, depending on whether you know how to shoot. Don't shoot them in the ass or the guts, and pick any bullet not designed to completely fragment on impact.

Trying to learn from some folks on this site is an exercise in patience. Give it time, someone more helpful will eventually come along.

Sorry. Been hanging with a bad crowd.

I don't worry much about deer bullets, except that I try and keep the soft ones out of the steaks.

It’s a legit question; temps being so low a lotta cabin fever going around.

What cartridge ya running?

I’ve always thought the ELDXs a bit soft and heard good things about the Gamechanger gonna try it through my Swede.

Nothing wrong with a 140 Partition or Gold Dot.

Any hunting bullet will kill deer. No reason to run a match target bullet if you don’t have to.

They don’t need to be. My best shooting 6.5CM load is a compressed case of RL26 over at 143 ELD-X. 2900 fps in my 22” Kimber. 63kpsi according to QL. <1/2 MOA

The deer? Probably only one or two a year.

Shot a mature muley buck two season's back with my 6.5x06 & the 143gr ELD-X. The bullet caught the extreme back edge of the right shoulder blade angling back. Range about 80yds. The bullet blew up like a bomb. Completely blood shot that whole right shoulder. Also all the flank meat behind the shoulder plus a considerable amount at the base of the neck. I've taken a lot of deer over the last 60+ years of hunting & this is the worst destruction of meat I have ever observed. The ELD-X is deadly accurate , but in my experience the most destructive . I will never use one again on game. The run of the mill Sierra ,Speer, Hornady in the 120 to 140gr class has never displayed this kind of destruction at any range.

I imagine you were pushing them a lot harder than the creedmoor is.

Hornady doesn’t make a 6.5 140 ELD-X.

I had 147ELDMs blowing up out of a 6.5 PRC. Entrance wounds on Axis and hogs looked like exit wounds. I haven't used the 143ELDX on game.
