Got one in December, first ever

Where do you play when you're up in MN?

If you're ever in the Ottertail area, try Thumper Pond.

I've played in league at Timber Creek for over a decade with some construction guys/contractors I know on Thursday nights.

Was having cigars on Oak Lake at my friend's shop Saturday.

Small world.

Yup. Sometimes I shoot at Minnetonka Sportsman's on 15 on the way to league.

While you guys in the great white north are talking about golfing (which is all I could do here at the moment except for inside) I'm finally going south Wednesday to Myrtle Beach for a week of (hopefully) sunny and mild temperatures. I can not wait, the weather here for the last three months has been brutal. Finally getting away.

Have fun. I spent many a 96 in Myrtle Beach when I was at Lejune.

I was in Charleston from 86 to late 88 and man that was some brutal temps! We were at sea a whole lot so didn't have to deal with it for all those years. It was crazy though, if you weren't on the beach with the breeze you were either inside in AC or in a vehicle with AC. I'd never live there in the summer again unless it was on the beach. I like it from around 60 to 75. Last year we were there the first week of Feb and it was PERFECT, between 60 and 70 every day.

Hoping we get that this year.

Finally was warm enough to get out this weekend and this happened on the second hole. I wasn't even hitting a ball. Leaned on it as I bent down to clean the mud of my ball and bam. $70 and a trip to ping repair center
This is the third shaft that has broken. Ping G25 TFC189 shaft. I am beginning to think graphite shafts have a life span.

I didn't go in there specifically looking for graphite. When I was fitted, I tried out multiple head heads and shaft combos. It always came back to this combination.

I only have an 85mph swing speed so the graphite helps me out.

Yes, there is. Without the golf, you can't crush your friends hopes and dreams. You can't taunt them as they stand over a 4-foot putt that will be a six-foot putt coming back if they miss.

😜

One could also just go along and watch their friends not make that putt, then laugh at them, while just drinking the beer and ogling the cart girl, no?

No.

Then you are just watching them suck, you're not actively crushing their soul by beating them.

There's a big difference.

Summer of 2013. They have a lot of rounds on them.
I play mostly year round. As long as the snow is gone and it’s 35ish. The wind is a big determining factor though.

We have cart enclosures and propane heaters Thank goodness for fuel injection now days Cart sits in -0 for a week, turn the key and it fires right up.

Well, there is that.
And it has immense value.

But for shear cheap entertainment value, riding around in a cart, ogling cart girls while drinking beer, and watching your buds make fools of themselves while spending all that money on greens fees, balls, clubs, golf togs and such wouldn't be a bad deal either. wink

If somebody that didn't golf said something to somebody that is golfing, I am pretty sure I'd kill them.
