Suppose someone commits to purchase your item...how long should it take between the "I'll take it" and a firm PM regarding details of payment, shipping etc.? Ebay allows you 48 hrs to get your ducks aligned, I think.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

24 hrs should be plenty . I've never had anyone go any longer than that. Generally I get an immediate PM to sort out the details and that is what I prefer. If I'm the buyer I send a PM within minutes.

If I'm the buyer I send a PM within minutes. This. The integrity of the classifieds depends on both parties being honorable. Sadly, that isn't the case 100% of the time.

I waited several days..........good guy....glad I did not push.

Like Deflave said, 10 minutes. If nothing else a PM stating that they’ll contact you later (after work, etc) to work out the details is what should happen.

I'm still waiting for an address from a guy from 2014. Claimed dies. Sent money, or more correctly, I received same amount of money in an unmarked priority mail envelope! Disappeared. Figure he's a gonner... Perfect world, right away. Hot item, right now! Stranger, by next day for sure. Someone who you know, whatever.
