That's good to hear. Also good to have those iron sights to fall back on.

No air rifling here today. Wind is 30s gusting 50s. I see it's gusting over 100 up around Browning/Glacier Park.

I don't doubt it.....lol.

The lake usually freezes over right around the 1st of January, thaws around 1st of April.

Seems like we've been having some of that wild springtime weather here of late.

JSB 25.4 gr - 695 fps, 27 FPE
JSB 33.9 gr - 610 fps, 28 FPE

I calculated a 13 yard zero would keep it pretty flat out to 45 yards or so.

Zero'd with the 25.4 gr. 4 of 5 in a nice little cluster, I dropped one low.

Just a heads up, if you want to upgrade scopes. Look at the Hammers on Amazon. I have 3 of them and they are excellent for $80. I have thousands of pellets on my Hatsan 95 and it hasn't moved a bit. My boy even knocked it off the rack of the 4wheeler in the driveway and it held zero. I have one on a 10/22 as well.

Thanks for the heads-up. I did consider a Hammers as they seem to be well recommended.

I ended up ordering a Hawke Airmax 3-9x40 AO. The brown truck dropped it off today. Weather has been kind of blizzardly of late, but I look forward to shooting it. Pretty nice etched reticle, and supposedly the Airmax line is built to take the abuses of magnum springers.

Thats a nice looking scope. I have read some about them, I hope it holds up on that magnum. I would like to have a 125 to join my 95.

Makes sense to me, I might need a 95 to go with the 125.

Those Hatsan 130/135 30 cal's look like a lot of fun.

Because of this thread, shot my Hatsam .30 today, with the scope set at 2x, target 50 feet away. Using Vortex (Hatsam) 44.75 gr pellets, chromo showed 530 fps. With JSB "Match" 50.15 gr pellets, got 510 fps, with FX 50.2 gr saw 507 fps. Used a rest, 45 gr pellets "grouped" a bit over a inch - the heavier pellets put 2 less than 1/2" apart, the 3rd out a bit (could have been me?). Thought I had some heavier pellets, but I must have shot them all. Saw some posting saying these would shoot "through a 2x4", but mot sure with what pellet? I've blown some impressive holes through 1/2" plywood target backing.

Prices I'm seeing look to be $400-$500 for this rifle, but I was remembering paying less than that last year? Certainly less than a good .30 PCP rifle. I'm happy with it!

Forgot to say that my 30 was a bit louder than I liked, so I had Dommy FL make a suppressor for it. Might be why I dom't see 550 fps with the 45 gr pellets?

I don't know. I wouldn't think a moderator would slow the pellet.

I was watching YT vid where a guy was tuning up a Hatsan 135 30 cal. One thing he did was pump up the gas piston to 150 bar. I seem to recall the piston was marked 'max fill 150, or 160 bat'. The factory fill was around 130 bar.

Anyways, after pumping it up to near max, he was getting around 590 fps with the JSB 44gr, and 550 with the JSB 50 gr.

Wonder how you would "pump it up", as it is a break action single shot - air powered?

The hatsan 125 and 135 gas pistons have a fill port. you would need a Hatsan fill probe, and a PCP compressor or hand pump. The fill port is on the starboard side, near the rear of the piston. you need to remove ther stock to access it. There is also a bleed valve on the port side.

Check these vids out for visuals.

Thanks for the links. When I have more time, I'll look into this. The rifle is fine as is, but if I could get a bit more out of it, that would be even "mo' better"!

You bet. I might get around to pumping up my Hatsan 125 25 cal a bit, and see what happens. It seems a tad slow, and maybe another 30-50 fps would tighten up accuracy little.
