Looking for advice here. I bought a Remington 700 ADL probably 4 years ago, turned it into a BDL with hinged floor plate, and bedded it into a B&C stock. For a couple years off and on I tried to get it to shoot and even went as far as re-bedding as it wouldn't consistently shoot better than around 1.5 - 2 MOA. Switched scope, tried factory loads, different powders, bullets and weights - all without any real success. I had just about concluded that the barrel was just junk. I decided to try Federal Fusion factory ammo as I had consistently read great reviews. At this point, I had a Weaver T24 on the rifle so that very precise aiming was possible (this scope was used for around half of this saga). Well, I'll be.......The thing was shooting from 0.4 to 0.7 MOA. I've tried dozens of loads and have never shot a sub MOA group with it until this specific factory ammo was tried. I rarely shoot factory ammo and prefer not to but in this instance, not sure I have much of a choice unless I crack the code.

I have a model 99 savage in 243, loves the federals, made it simple just went and bought 10 boxes, over and done with, set for the life of that rifle. Tired different cobinations, somehow the 100 grain federal's are spot on for me.

I have disassembled and reloaded some of that for friends, who switched out the factory bullet for Nosler Partitions..

from the supposed MV on the box and the charge of the case,

I had one batch I figured was and looked similar to RL 15, both Companies under the same Corporate Roof...

another batch and the MV on the box, and the look and charge of the powder looked like 4064....

Strictly speculation I guess... but both of those powders have worked extremely well when I've hand loaded 243s....for accuracy and velocity....
